Our Family & Farm Story

Michael and Leslie have shattered their city-living backgrounds and sandy beach upbringings to pursue becoming first generation regenerative farmers. They put everything on the line and sold their thriving real estate business to relocate and pioneer a 98-acre farm in North Central Florida.

Leslie believes that the delay in growing their family is solely from the lack of nutrition in “food” sold in big chain grocery stores manufactured by big box plants approved by the (not for the people) government entities, Food & Drug Administration and US Department of Agriculture.

Michael and Leslie not only have a desire to see soil-health amended and restored through permaculture and regenerative farming methods, but also have a heart to foster, adopt and mentor the next generation. We believe that children from broken backgrounds can be healed and thrive when they are in a safe, holistic and stimulating environment. Michael and Leslie have purposed in their hearts that this 92-acre farm is not just about raising clean pastured meats and organic produce without chemical pesticides, antibiotics and hormonal drugs, but is also to be used for giving kids and young adults a place to learn and grow in a way that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Legacy Farm operates as a federally recognized private non-profit. This status allows us the distinct pleasure of serving our private members top quality products straight off the farm along with providing a place for young adults to come and learn real life skills through our apprenticeship program. Here at Legacy Farm, we are proud to raise clean, non-steroidal meats, poultry, dairy and produce, while simultaneously investing into the next generation.
